Change is a good thing......really!

Pretty In Pink is retiring! I love this color, my office/craft room is painted this color. Bashful Blue is going too....I have to find a new favorite colors now.

Until I decide on a new favorite color I make this beautiful Tri-fold card. It was easy to make with the Secret Garden Bundle. Having the framelits that match the stamps made it easy to create these beautiful 3-D flowers.

I used the Label Collection Framelits to create a layer of windows that frame the small flower.

I'm getting ready to place my retiring item order so if you find out all the Pretty in Pink Accessories are gone you'll know who ordered them all...giggle giggle!

Stamp Sets: Secret Garden, Curly Cute, Papillon Potpourri
Ink: So Saffron, Bashful Blue, Lucky Limeade
Paper: Pretty In Pink, Very Vanilla, Tea for Two DSP
Accessories: Secret Garden Framelits, Basic Pearls, Label Collection Framelits, Elegant Butterfly Punch, Bitty Butterfly

Beautiful Swallowtail

I’m sorry to say this is the first time I used the Natural Composition DSP! What was I waiting for....

This DSP is embossed with organic flowers, contemporary designs, woodgrain and musical notes. The paper is a heavy weight, natural color with a raised glossy embossed patterns.

When you stamp or emboss on the paper the image adheres to the paper and not to the embossed glossy design. So you get this great double image one that you stamped and the one already embossed on the paper.

This card was one from April Club. I turned around and used the same paper and ink and stamped Lovely as a Tree for my brother-in-law. It turned out just as beautiful and a little more masculine.

Stamp Set: Swallowtail, A Round Array,
Ink: Midnight Muse
Paper: Natural Composition DSP, Midnight Muse, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Clear Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Basic Pearls, 3/8” Stitched Satin Ribbon, 7/8” Scallop Circle Punch, 1 1/4” Scallop Circle Punch

Color Refreshed

Why a Color change you ask; Stampin Up! looks at the basic sales history of a color and focus group feedback. They also look at the overall color offering and determine what colors where not working with others. They also submit surveys, look at trends and determine what colors are out of date.

They also found that a few colors actual fit better in a different color group. There is one new color, Smoky Slate. There will be 9 returning In-Colors as our core colors, Bermuda Bay, Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry, Island Indigo, Pear Pizzazz, Pool Party, Soft Sky and Wisteria Wonder.

Check out the new Core Grouping Chart below. You may still have some of the In-Colors, I do.
Now is the time to stock up on the retiring colors because once the supplies are gone they are gone!
